What is the history of Kutch?

Weather: 18 - 28°C

Ideal duration: 2 D

Best Time: JUL-FEb

Kutch looks like a turtle and was once a royal area in India. Today, it still looks majestic. The region is unique because of its large salt desert, which becomes even more amazing during winter. From December to February, the Rann Festival takes over with lots of tents, cultural shows, and fun activities like flying in hot air balloons. It's the biggest district in India but doesn’t have many people living there. Kutch is right next to Pakistan, and you can see some parts of it from there. The district is known for handmade crafts, colorful embroideries, and natural havens for flamingos and other wild life. If you’re going to Rann of Kutch, Bhuj is the best place to start. Don't miss out on the pretty beaches of Mandvi close to Bhuj when you're in Kutch.
