Lansdowne

Lansdowne Uttarakhand iNDIA

Lansdowne is a quaint little minor town vested at a remoteness of 248 km from Delhi in the Pauri district of Uttarakhand. Filled with oak and deodar forests and dotted with colonial-era buildings, this hill station is a haven for bird watchers, casual hikers, and weekend getaways.

The city was discovered by the British and named after the then Viceroy of India, Lord Lansdowne. The guesthouses here are reminiscent of colonial times, and they offer spectacular views of the mountains from their balconies.
