They'll charge you about INR 500 for each person to get a glimpse of a tiger in its natural habitat. Usually, an elephant carries four people at a time, with both a mahout (elephant driver) and a nature expert tagging along.Jeep Safaris:-Safaris here have two runs each day. The first is at sunrise, around 5:30 , lasting for 4 hours. The second starts between 14:00 and 15:00 and lasts until sunset. Bandhavgarh draws a crowd, so it's smart to reserve your jeep early. They cap the jeeps per shift. Up to six people can ride in one jeep, plus the driver and a nature expert. Most folks choose the Tala area to see tigers. Remember, there are no afternoon safaris on Wednesdays.Canter Safari:-You can book Canter safaris, which have 12 seats, right away. But it's better to book them online in advance. The price is INR 1200 for locals and INR 2400 for people from other countries.Fauna in Bandhavgarh:-The national park is home to a variety of meat-eating animals such as tigers, Asiatic jackals; foxes; sloth bears; ratels; grey mongooses; striped hyenas; jungle cats and leopards. You'll also see deer, monkeys, wild boars, Nilgai, Chinkara, and Gaur havening around. The sky's full of birds like doves, parakeets, serpent eagles, black vultures and the common peafowl. And don't forget the scales: pythons, turtles, vipers, and rat-snakes are pretty much locals in these parts.History :-The Bandhavgarh National Park was once the hunting ground of Rewa's Maharaja. 'Bandhav' in Bandhavgarh means brother, and 'Garh' stands for fort. There’s a tale that Lord Rama, on his way back from defeating Ravana, built this fort to show his affection for his brother Lakshman.
