
Har Ki Pauri
1-Har Ki Pauri was built by King Vikramaditya in the memory of his brother Brithri in the 1st century BC. It is said that the brothers used to do penance on the banks of the river Ganges. Har ki Pauri, one of the most famous places in Haridwar, is believed to be the exact spot where the Ganges leaves the mountains and enters the plains.
2-An area within Har Ki Pauri, where the evening Ganga Aarti takes place, is considered the most sacred and is known as the Brahma Kund. It is believed that this is the same place where the divine nectar fell from the celestial Kumbh while being carried by the celestial bird Garuda after churning the ocean. Some of the other affinities located at this ghat are the two famous temples, Ganga Mandir and Haricharan Mandir.
3-The Ganga Aarti held every evening after sunset at Har Ki Pauri is popular among pilgrims and tourists from all over the world. A group of Brahmins hold huge fire bowls in their hands and offer sacred mantras to the river Ganges and Lord Shiva. Devotees float diyas with flowers in the holy river while performing the puja. It is a spectacular sight to witness the golden orange shades of flower diyas visible in the river Ganges at night.

Chandi Devi Temple
Chandi Devi Temple is one of the famous temples situated atop Neel Parvat on the eastern summit of Shivalik hills in Haridwar at an altitude of 2,900 m.
This temple is dedicated to Goddess Chandi Devi, a reincarnation of souls of Deity Parvati It is one of the most famous temples of India. This temple is highly revered by the devotees as Siddha Peeth which is a place of worship where wishes are fulfilled. It is one of the three such Peethas located in Haridwar, the other two being Mansa Devi Temple and Maya Devi Temple.
However, the main idol of Chandi Devi in the temple is said to have been installed by Adi Shankaracharya in the 8th century.
Rope Way Cost: Rs.170 per person for two ways.
Timings: 6 AM to 8 PM.
Mansa Devi Temple
Mansa Devi Temple is a Hindu temple located atop Bilwa Parvat on the Shivalik Hills in Haridwar.
Manasa is believed to be the sister of the serpent (serpent) Vasuki. This temple is highly revered by the devotees as Siddha Peeth which is a place of worship where wishes are fulfilled.
Two deities are installed in the inner temple, one with eight arms and the other with five arms with three heads.
Tourists can walk 2 km from the foothills or take a ropeway on Manas Devi Road to reach the temple. The panoramic view of the holy Ganges and the city of Haridwar from the road is breathtaking. Joint ropeway tickets are also available for Mansa Devi and Chandi Devi temples and are valid for three days.
Ropeway Cost (Two-way): Rs. 264 per person for Chandi Devi and Mansa Devi temples, Rs. 84 per person only for Mansa Devi Temple.
Temple Timings: 8 AM - 12 PM and 2 PM - 5 PM.

Rajaji National Park
At a remoteness of 8 km from Haridwar, Rajaji National Park is a tiger reserve stable on the edge of the vast Dehradun valley. The park is spread over an area of 820 sq km. In Dehradun, Haridwar, and Pauri Garhwal districts of Uttarakhand.
Motichoor Wildlife Sanctuary, which is spread over 90 sq km, was carved out of the forests of Dehradun in the year 1966.
The park has a wide variety of fauna with over 23 mammals and 300 bird species.Along with a large number of elephants, the park also houses tigers, leopards, Himalayan bears, cheetahs, hog deer, barking deer, sambar deer and antelopes like wild boar, nilgai, goral, jackal, hyena, jungle cat. Leopard Cat, Civets, Himalayan Yellow-throated Marten, Sloth Bear, Python, King Cobra, Common Krait, Indian Cobra and Monitor Lizard.
Timings: 6 AM to 5 PM in summer and 6 AM to 3.30 PM in winter.
Safari Timings: 6 AM - 9 AM and 2 PM - 5 PM.
Entrance Fee: Rs. 150 for Indian, Rs.600 for Foreigners
Cost of Guide: Rs.300 for general guide and Rs.600 for experienced Bird and wildlife guide.
