
Butter chicken Popular cuisine in Delhi iNDIA
Introduced in Delhi in the year 1950, this famous dish is one of the most popular dishes of the capital. Popularly known as Murg Makhani by tourists, this creamy dish blends in the right notes of spice with cashew paste to give food lovers a perfect curry. The succulent chicken in creamy gravy is a heavenly delight. Delhi is also known as the place of origin of the dish.
Butter Chicken Recipe
Ingredients.
1-Yogurt ½ Cup.
2-Salt ½ tsp or to taste.
3-Turmeric powder ½ tsp.
4-Coriander powder 1 tsp.
5-Whole Spies powder ½ tsp.
6-Lemon juice 2 tbs.
7-Chicken boneless cubes ½ kg.
8-Oil 2 tbs.
9-Butter 2-3 tbs.
10-Cinnamon stick 1 P.
11-Green cardamom 2.
12-Onion grated 1 small.
13-Ginger garlic crushed 1 tsp.
14-Green chilies crushed ½ tbs.
15-Tomatoes grinded 1 Cup.
16-Tomato paste 2 tbs.
17-Cumin seeds roasted & crushed ½ tsp.
18-Salt ½ tsp or to taste.
19-Turmeric powder ½ tsp.
20-Nutmeg powder ½ tsp.
21-Paprika powder 1 tsp.
22-Sugar 1 tsp.
23-Water ½ Cup or as required.
24-Cream ½ Cup.
25-Milk ½ Cup.
26-Butter.
27-Cream.
Directions.
1-In bowl,add yogurt,red chili powder,salt,turmeric powder,coriander powder,garam masala powder,lemon juice and mix well.
2-Add chicken boneless cubes,mix well and marinate for 30 minutes.
3-In pot,add oil and marinated chicken,mix well and cook until chicken is done & set aside.
4-In pot,add butter and let it melt,add cinnamon stick,green cardamom,onion,ginger garlic,green chili and sauté until onion are translucent.
5-Add grinded tomato,tomato paste and mix well,cover and cook for 4-5 minutes.
6-Add cumin seeds,salt,turmeric powder,nutmeg powder,paprika powder and sugar,mix well and cook for 2 minutes.
7-Add water and mix well.
8-In bowl,add cream,milk and whisk well.
9-In pot,gradually add cream+milk and mix well.
10-Now add cooked chicken and mix well.
11-Add dried fenugreek leaves and mix well.
12-Garish with butter,cream & serve.
