Cola Beach, also known as 'Khola' Beach, is one of the hidden gems of South Goa. Located in the Canacona area, the golden sand beach is dotted with volcanic boulders. The beach doesn't get many visitors as it is off the beaten path, hidden by dense high hills, with a gentle stretch of rocky terrain to cross before arriving at this natural paradise. This makes Kola Beach perfect for sunbathers.Cola Beach is divided into North Kola and South Kola, with a small hill separating the two. It is joined by a river in the middle which is known as Blue Lagoon or Emerald Lagoon due to its clear green colour. The calm waters here are perfect for swimming. Kola Beach also offers magical sunsets as the beach landscape reflects the rays of the sun in a unique way. There are very few huts on Kola Beach and most of the eating places are located inside the resorts.
Best Time :-
The best time to visit this beach is between October and March, as it is the ideal climate to enjoy the beach.
Restaurants in Cola Beach :-
There are no huts at Kola beach as is common on most of the beaches of Goa. However, beachside resorts do have dining options available to their guests. Casa Dia restaurant offers simple yet delicious food for those who want to dine on the quiet beach.
How To Reach in Cola Beach :-

There is no public transport to reach cola beach . One has to hire a private taxi from Dabolim airport (60 km away) or Canacona railway station (12 km) to reach this beach. It is advisable to hire a taxi to hire a vehicle, as the roads are quite rough and the way can be confusing for people unfamiliar with the way.
If you are trying to reach Kola beach by hired vehicle, travel on MDR49 towards Agonda, and walk right after Parvem bus stop. An easier route can be found on NH66, which is longer but has a sign pointing in the general direction of Kola beach as one travels north to south of Goa.
Accommodation Near Cola Beach :-
There are not many accommodation options around the beach, as it is largely uninhabited and not a major tourist destination. However, Blue Lagoon Resort, Kola Beach Resort and Dwarka Goa offer accommodation options like tents, wooden cottages and bungalows to the travelers. Nearby Agonda Beach has a full range of accommodation options for visitors with varying budgets and preferences.
